In the 1911 census he is a boarder living at 50 Conduit Road, Stamford, Lincolnshire, he is 39 yrs single and a copper smith, he is boarding with Alfred Thomas Billing 42 yrs a general labourer.

He lived at 9 Wesley Place Heathcote Street Nottingham.

Military history

Private Stephen John Wilson enlisted on 25th August 1915 at Nottingham, giving his age as 41 years and 9 months, he was living at 9 Wesley Place, Heathcote Street, Nottingham, he was a coppersmith, he was posted to the Army Service Corps.

He had previously served for 5 years with the RNR as an Engine Room Artificer 1st Class.

He was fine two days pay for going absent without leave from Reveille 9/10/1915 until 8pm 10/10/1915.

He died from pneumonia at Hounslow Military Hospital without serving abroad. He is buried at Heston st Leonards Churchyard, Middlesex.
