George Davies Page was born on 3d December 1876 at Hucknall he was baptised on 5th September 1878 at Ault Hucknall, Derbyshire, he was the son of James a provisions dealer and Eleanor Page née George and the brother of Peggy, Thomas, Margaret and Cybill Page.

His father James was born in 1842 at Nottingham, he died in 1896 aged 54 yrs, his mother Eleanor George was born in 1846 at Windsor, they were married in 1869 at Windsor, they had 4 children.

In the 1881 census the family lived at 144 Robin Hood's Chase St Ann's Nottingham.

George Davies Page emmigrated to New Zealand, where he settled in Wellington.

He was the husband of Jessie Letham (born 1880 ) they lived at 11 Everton Terrace Wellington New Zealand they were married in 1902 and had two children, Rulhana Eleanr born 1902 New Zealand and Ruahine Iona born 1907.

Military history

Lieutenant George Davies Page, enlisted in New Zealand, he served with the 2nd Auckland Battalion New Zealnd Expeditionary Force, he also served in Egypt and Gallipoli. He died on 6th October 1916 and is buried at Etaples Military Cemetery
