Harold Harrison was born in 1896 at Ilkeston he was the son of the late George a policeman and the late Rebecca Harrison née Winfield of 15 Guildhall Cottages Nottingham.

His father George was born in 1861 at Ilkeston, he died in 1900 at Nottingham, he was 39 yrs of age, his mother Rebecca Winfield was born in 1861 at Kirk Hallam she died in 1899 aged 38 yrs, they were married on 17th October 1881 at St Marys Church, Ilkeston, they went on to have 8 children, including Eliza Jane born 1888 at Nottingham.

Harold's pension record card shows his next of kin as his foster mother Elizabeth Harrison of 38 Station Road, Ilkeston.

The register of soldiers effects show his sole legatee as his sister Eliza J Harrison
