Frank Monroe Robson was born in 1898 at Wandsworth, Surrey, he was the son of Douglas Robson a factory manager and Ellen Elizabeth (Nellie) Robson née Leak of 18 Chilwell Street Lenton Nottingham.
His father Douglas was born in 1868 at Vitoria Park, London, his mother Ellen Elizabeth Leak was born in 1868 at Nottingham, they were married on 18th November 1893 at St Georges Church, Nottingham, they went on to have 7 children.
In the 1911 census the family are living at 16 Victoria Road, Sutton on Sea, Lincolnshire, Douglas Robson 43 yrs a factory manager he is living with his wife Nellie 42 yrs and their children, Eric 20 yrs, Elsie 16yrs, Mildred 15 yrs, Frank 12 yrs, Douglas 8 yrs Reginald 6 yrs and Gwendoline 2 yrs old.
Trumpeter Frank Monroe Robson enlisted at Boston, Lincolnshire, he served with'D' Bty 103 Bde Royal Field Artillery, he died of wounds on 5th June 1917, he is buried at Hop Store Cemetery Belgium
