Family history

Joseph Henry Radmall was born in 1870 at Notingham, he was the son of John a cordwainer and Faith Radmall née Ley and the brother of Eliza, Sarah, Annie and Violet Radmall. of Nottingham.

His father John was born in 1840 at Nottingham, he died in 1902 at Nottingham, he was 62 yrs his mother Faith Ley was born in 1837 at Mansfield, they were married on 3rd October 1859 at St Peters Church, Nottingham, they had 5 children.

In 1881 they lived at 7 Lincoln Place Hockley and were boarding at 103 Kirkwhite Street Meadows (both Nottingham).

In the 1911 census Joseph is living with his widowed mother Faith 77 yrs, they are living at 26 Derwnt Street, Nottingham, he is shown as being 41 yrs and is a french polisher, also living with hem is his married sister Annie 45 yrs.

Radmall cited his sister Sarah Ellis as next of kin.

Military history

Private Joseph Henry Radmall initially served with the Army Srvice Corps, before transferring to (307150) 722nd Coy Labour Corps in 1917. he died on 15th November 1918 and is buried at St Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen.
