William Booth was married to Ethel Betts (born 10th May 1897) they were married in 1914 at Mansfield. they lived at 117 Front Street, Arnold, they had a daughter Irene Nellie Castle Booth born 4th May 1915.

Commencing 28th October 1918 his widow was awarded a pension of 20 shillings and 5 pence a week.

Military history

Private William Booth enlisted at Selby, he served with the 5th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment he died of wounds on 14th April 1918, he is buried at Boulogne Eastern Cemetery.
