Walter Robinson (junior) was born in 1876 at Nottingham, he was the son of Walter Robinson (senior) and Louisa

He was the husband of Lavinia May Jones (born 13th May 1879) they were married on 8th October 1898 at Nottingham registrar office,and in 1911 they lived at 19 Livingstone Terrace Bunbury Street Meadows Nottingham Walter 34 yrs is an asphalters labourer, he is living with hs wife Lavinia 31 yrs.

Lavinia later lived at 2 Collishaw's Yard Byron Street Sneinton Nottingham.

Commencing 10th March 1919 his widow was awarded a pension of 15 shillings a week, at this date she was living at 9 Church Street, Coalpit Lane, Nottingham.

Military history

Lance Sergeant Walter Robinson, enlisted on 8th November 1901 at Nottingham, giving his age as 21yrs and 10 months he was a brick maker, he served with 'D' Coy 2nd battalion Royal Scots, Lothian Regiment, he served in the South Africa Campaign, mobilsed on 5th August 1914 he landed in France on 30th August 1914 until 26th December 1914, he returned to France on 30th October 1917. he died of wounds on 27th August 1918, he is buried at Bagneux British Cemetery, Gezaincourt, France he had served for 16 yrs and 293 days.
