Samuel Robinson (junior) was born in 1884 at Doncaster, Yorkshire, he was baptised on 21st November 1886 (along with his brother Francis) at Bulwell parish church, he was the son of Samuel Robinson (senior) a collier and Mary Robinson of 15 Birkland Street Bulwell Nottingham.

Military history

Private Samuel Robinson enlisted at Doncaster he served with the 1/7th battalion West Riding Regiment, he landed in France on 14th April 1915, he was killed in action on 30th April 1918 he is buried at La Clytte Military Cemetery
