Benjamin Forman (junior0 was born in 1874 at Darlston, Staffordhsire he was the son of the late Benjamin Forman (snior) and Harriet Forman née Smith of 193 Vernon Road Old Basford Nottingham.
His father Benjamin was born in 1841 in Birmingham, he died in 1910 at Nottingham, he was 69 yrs of age, his mother Harriett Smith was born in 1845 at Bromsgrove, Worcestershire, they were married on 22nd July 1867 at All Saints Church, Moxley, Staffordshire, they had 10 children.
In the 1911 census the family are living at 193 Vernon Road, Old Basford, Nottingham, Harriett 64 yrs is a widow she is living her children, William 26 yrs a brickmaker, Minnie 23 yrs a lace mender, and Gertrude 19 yrs a lace mender.
Private Benjamin Forman enlisted at Worksop, he served with the 3rd battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he died on 10th January 1916, he is buried at South Shields (Harton) Cemetery
