Family history

Henry Clark was born in 1889 at Nottingham he was the son of Mary Clark of 55 Cranmer Street Nottingham.

He married Clara Ellen (born 15th November 1878) they lived at 21 Kenilworth Road, Perry Bar, Birmingham, they had 2 children, Massie born 6th October 1904 and Elsie born 12th January 1912.

Commencing 6th November 1916 his widow was awarded a pension of 22 shillings a week.

Military history

Sergeant Henry Clark enlisted at Birmingham, he served wit the 1/8th battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment, he died on 5th May 1916 of cerebral and spinal meningitis, he is buried at Netley Military Cemetery.
