Leslie Attersall was born in 1897 at Nottingham, he was the son of Thomas a warper and Ada Attersall née Colville and the brother of Stanley Attersall of Harcourt Street, Forest Fields, Nottingham.

Military history

Private Leslie Attersall enlisted at Nottingham he served with 'C' Coy 2nd battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry, he was killed in action on 23rd August 1918 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Vis-En-Artois Memorial
