Terence Brady was born in 1895 at Nottingham he was the son of Francis s a general labourer and Fanny Brady (née Twist).
His father was born in 1872 at Nottingham, his mother Fanny Twist in 1870 in Leicestershire. Married in 1889 in Nottingham, they had four children - Terence b.1893, Francis John Patrick b.1895, Ernest b1910 and Joseph Vincent b.1911
In 1901 they lived at 12 Finch Street Nottingham his father Francis bornin 1872 is working as a general labourer, his mother: Fanny Brady, born in 1870 at Leicester and working as a lace hand. Brother: Francis, born in 1896 at Nottingham. The family lived at 12, Finch Street, Nottingham.
Terence Brady was the husband of Sarah Ann Maddock, born 3rd September 1891 of 13 Ash Street, Peas Hill Road, Nottingham. They were married in October 1912 in Nottingham they had a son Terence born 18th August 1916.
Commencing 18th June 1917 his widow was awarded a pension of 18 shillings and 9 pence a week.
Lance Corporal Terence Brady volunteered for service and following training he arrived in France on 29/08/1915. He was killed in action during a quiet period in the trench in the Ypres Salient, near Zillebeke. He was buried at Railway Dugouts Burial Ground(Transport Farm).
his younger brother Private 17531 Francis John Patrick Brady, enlisted at Nottingham and served with the 2nd Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment. He landed in France on 26th January 1915 and died of wounds at No 4 stationary hospital on 24th September 1916, he is buried in Etaples Military Cemetery grave reference XI.A.8.
