Mother: Louisa Larkins of 37 Racecommon Road, Barnsley. She married William Henry Larkins in 1902 so was unmarried when she had Walter. Widow: Lily, nee Smith married during the summer of 1917. They would have been married for only a few weeks before his death. They had no children.
Military history
Enlisted 03/09/1914 aged 19. However Walter was born in 1897 so only 17 not 19 when he enlisted and the age at death is correct. In France from 13/04/1915
