Harry Warrener was born in 1888 at Nottingham, he was the only son of George Warrener a railway drayman and Rebecca Warrener née Sharpe of 18 Abbey Gardens, Nottingham.
His father George was born in 1862 at Rufford, Nottinghamshire his mother Rebecca Sharpe was born in 1858 at Mount Pleasant, Lincolnshire they were married in 1886 at Nottingham,
In the 1911 census the family are living at 18 Abbey Grove, Wells Road, Nottingham, George 49 yrs is a railway drayman, he is living with his wife Rebecca 53 yrs.
Harry was the husband of Florence Simpson they married on 16th June 1907 at Nottingham, they had a daughter Florence Constance Vera born 4th July 1907 they lived at 30 Florence Street, Nottingham
In 1911 census the family lived at 48 Ball Street Wells Road, Nottingham, Harry 23 yrs isa goods railway porter, he is living with his wife Florence 23 yrs and their daughter Florence Constance Vera 3 yrs of age.
Private Harry Warrener enlisted at Nottingham on 10th December 1915, giving his address as 48 Ball Street, Wells Road, Nottingham giving his age as 28 yrs and 1 month he was a railway porter his next of kin was his wife Florence of the same address, he was posted to the reserves.
He was mobilised for war on 8th July 1918 and posted to the 15th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he embarked from Dover on 30th October 1918 landing at Calais the same day.
He was returned to England on 9th March 1919 and demobilised from the Army on 10th March 1919.
He died at 18 Abbey Gardens, Nottingham his fathers address on 14th February 1919 of pneumonia and influenza, he is buried at Nottingham General Cemetery Grave Reference: 5114 B
