He was the son of Mary Ann Knight of 76 Ilkeston Road Radford Nottingham.
Private Harry Knight, enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 10th Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, he was killed in action 15th April 1917 , whilst in the line near Monchy, France.
Having no known grave, he is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
In memoriam published 15th April 1918 in the Nottingham Evening Post : -
“KNIGHT. – In ever-loving memory of my dear son, Harry Knight, 76, Ilkeston-road, killed in action April 15th. – Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his sorrowing mother.
“KNIGHT. – In loving memory of my dear brother, Pte. Harry Knight, Notts. and Derby, killed in action April 14th, 1917. Ever remembered. – Maudie.
“KNIGHT. – In loving memory of our dear brother, Pte. Harry Knight, killed in action April 15th, 1917. Ever in our thoughts. – Beattie and Emily.”
