Patrick Corcoran
He was either a regular or a recalled reservist. He was serving with 1st Bn Sherwood Foresters at Trimulgherry Barrack Deccan India in 1911.

Patrick Corcoran was born in 1890 at Sneinton, Nottingham, he was the the son of Thomas a general labourer and Annie Corcoran née Charles and the brother of Mary, Tom, Kate and Edward Corcoran.
His father Thomas was born in 1861 at Longon, Lancashire, his mother Ann Charles was born in 1870 at Smallthorne, Stafordshire they were married i 1888 at Wolstanton, Staffordshire they had 8 children sadly 4 died in infancy or early childhood.
In 1911 they lived on Bellar Gate St Mary's and in 1911 at 33 Pipe Street (both Nottingham) Thomas 50 yrs is a general labourer, he is married and is living with his children, Thomas 19 yrs a brick layers labourer and Edward 14 yrs (Ann is not shown on this census.
In the same 1911 census Patrick has left the family home, he joined the Army and is living in barracks in India with the 1st battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he is 22 yrs of age.
10413 Private Patrick Corcoran enlisted in Nottingham around August 1907 and after recruit training was posted to the 1st battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts and Derby Regiment). Patrick went to France with the battalion on 4 November 1914.
The war diary for 1 June 1916 had the following -" June 1916, HQ Fosse 10 - 1st, Weather fine. All quiet during the day. Heavy shelling over Bully and Souchez all evening. There were three casualties in advanced companies in Bully - 2 killed. Killed Sgt Woolley, Pte Corkran".
Patrick's body would have been removed to Bully-Grenay Cemetery and buried.Bully - Grenay Communal Cemetery, British Extension I.A.17
