Harry Wilson was born C1866 at Louth, Lincolnshire. his year of birth does vary depending upon docoument sourced, the 1911 census states he was 39 yrs born 1872 freebdm gives 1863 at Louth,
He was the husband of Sarah Ann Holland ( born 19th Ocober 1862 Grantham) a widow maiden name Isaacs' they were married on 18th July 1898 at the Nottingham Register office they had 2 children, Edwin Harry born 1900 and Ann Harriet Wilson born 1899, they lived at 6 Warren Court Old Street Glasshouse Street Nottingham.
In the 1911 census the family are living at 6 Warren Court Old Street, Nottingham Harry 39 yrs is a general labourer, he is living with hs wife Sarah Ann 45 yrs a lace hand and their children, Edwin Harry 11 yrs and Ann Harriett 12 yrs and Nellie Holland 16 yrs (step daughter)
His widow was awarded a pension on 15 shillings on 2nd July 1919.
Pioneer Harry Wilson enlisted on 14th September 1915 in London, he was 45 yrs of age and a labourer, he was living at 6 Warren Court, Old Street, Nottingham, his next of kin was his wife Sarah Ann of the same address. Hewas posted to the Royal Enginners. He embarked on 24th September 1915. He was discharged from the Army on 30th January 1917 being no longer pysically fit for war service, his discharged address was 6 Warren Court, Old Street, Nottingham,
He died of Pulmanory tuberculosis on 14th December 1918, he is buried at the Nottingham General Cemetery.
His father Private Edwin Harry John Wilson enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 17th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he died of disease on 2nd May 1917 at the Derby Military Hospital and is buried in the Nottingham General Cemetery
