Leonard Adolphus Tebb was born on 22nd July 1897 at Nottingham, he was baptised on 10th October 1897 at St Anns, Nottingham, he was the son of John a waiter and Anne Tebb née Paddock of 3 Robin Hood Terrace Victoria Park St Ann's Nottingham.

In the 1911 census he has left the family home, he is living at The Midlands Trust Indistrial School, Beacon Street, Lichfield, he is 13 yrs of age.

Military history

Gunner Leonard Alphonus Tebb enlisted at Lichfield, he served with 'O' Bty, Royal Horse Artillery, He served in France for three years before being killed in action 21st October 1917 (Evening Post Nov. 8, 1917) during the Third Battle of Ypres. He was buried at Cement House Cemetery
