Family history

Frank Henry Huddlestone was born on 26th November 1887 at Nottingham, he was the only son of the late Frank a printer and the late Violetta Huddlestone née Lowe of 37 Bovill Street, Radford.

His father Frank was born in 1861 at Nottingham he died in 1902 aged 41 yrs, his mother Violetta Lowe was born in 1863 at Nottingham, she died in 1915 she was 52 yrs of age. they were married on 25th December 1886 at Christ Church, Radford.

In the 1911 census his widowed mother Violet 45 yrs is living at 37 Bovill Street, Radford.

Frank Henry married Maud Bexon (born 1890 Loughborough) on 12th March 1910 at the Parliament Street, Chapel, Nottingham. they had 2 sons Frank Holyroyd born 3rd December 1911 and Arthur Edward born 24th April 1913. Huddlestone.

In 1911 they lived at 2 Norfolk Place Flewitt Street Nottingham Frank Henry is 23 yrs of age and is achemist assistant, he is living with his wife Maud 21 yrs and their son Frank Holroyd 3 months old.

Military history

Company Sergeant Major Frank Henry Huddlestone enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 4th battalion Grenadier Guards, he landed in France on 15th August 1915 and was killed in action on 27th September 1915, having no known grave his name is commemorated on the
Loos Memorial
