Family history
George Albert Eversley was born in 1895 at Nottingham, he was the son of Albert Eversley a chair maker Mary Eversley née Heaton of 27 Westville Street,Nottingham.

His father Albert was born in 1874 at Nottingham, his mother Mary Heaton was born in 1875 at Clay Cross she died in 1908 aged 34 yrs, they were married on 6th January 1895 at Emmanuel Church, Nottingha, they had two further children, Charles and Jane. 

n 1911 his father, a widower, Albert 37 yrs achair maker he lived with his three children, George Albert (15), Charles (14) and Jane (11) at 27 West Ville Street, Nottingham.  Also in the household was the children's uncle, Albert's older brother, Thomas (41).
Military history

Private George Albert Eversley enlisted at Rotherham, he served with the 6th battalion King's Own Yorkshire Light Infantry. He served in France from 21 May 1915 and was killed in ation on 16th September 1916, he has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial Panel Reference: Pier and Face 11 C and 12 A.

He qualified for the 1915 Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal.

Nottingham Evening Post obituary (abridged), 23 October 1916: ‘Eversley. Killed in action September 16th, Private GA Eversley, KOYLI, age 21. Father, sister, brother Charlie.’
