Frank Belshaw (junior) was born in 1887 at Nottingham, he was the son of Frank Belshaw (senior) and Jane Belshaw néé O'Connor of 1 Timm's Yard Holland Street Coalpit Lane Nottingham.

His father Frank was born in 1867 at Nottingham his mother Jane O'Connorwas born in 1868 also at Nottingham, they were married on 25th May 1885 at St John's Church, Carrington, they went on to have 10 children.

In the 1911 census the family are living at 14 High Cross Strret, Nottingham, Frank 44 yrs is a paviour, he is living with his wife Jane 43 yrs and their 8 children.

Frank Belshaw (junior) is not with the family in the 1911 census.

Military history

Private Frank Belshaw enlisted at Nottingham he served with the Royal Field Artillery he was accidentally killed on 13th December 1917 in Italy, he is buried at Sandrigo Communal Cemetery, Italy.
