Edward Savage was born on 17th August 1877 and was baptised on 29th August 1877 at Nottingham, he was the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Savage.
Edward married Hannah Mary Wallis (born 23rd May 1879) they were married on 2nd June 1900 at St Stephens Church, Church, Sneinton, they lived at 3 Manvers Square Manvers Street Sneinton Nottingham they had following children, Edward born 1901 and died 1902, John Stepehen born 1902, Lizzie born 1904, Edward born born 1907, George born 1909,HannahElizabethborn 1912 and Kate Elizabeth born 1915.
In the 1911 census the family are living at 59 Oldman Street, Nottingham, Edward Savage 33 yrs is a fish hawker, he is living with his wife Hannah 31 yrs and their children, John Stephen 9 yrs, Lizzie 7 yrs, Edward 4 yrs and George 2 years of age.
Commencing 24th June 1918 his widow was awarded a pension of 37 shillings and 11 pence a week.
Driver Edward Savage, enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 309th Company Army Service Corps, he died on 20th December 1917 at Aylesbury Military Hospital and is buried at Aylesbury Cemetery.
