George Henry Reynolds was born on 27th February 1896 at Nottingham, he was the son of Albert Edward a corporation labourer and Lucy Reynolds née Keetley and the brother of Florence Ann, Charles Albert, Elizabeth, Ruth, Mary and Arthur Reynolds.
His father Albert was born in 1870 at Birmngham his mother Lucy Keetley was born in 1871 at Nottingham, they were married in 1893 at Nottingham, they went on to have 9 children.
In the 1911 census the family lived at 64 Thoresby Street Sneinton Nottingham Albert Edward is 41 yrs and is a corporation labourer he is living with his wife Lucy 40 yrs and their children, Florence Ann 16 yrs working in the lace trade, George Henry 15 yrs a printer, Charles Albert 12 yrs a scholar, Elizabeth 9 yrs, Ruth 7 yrs, Mary 5 yrs and Arthur 3 years of age.

Private George Henry Reynolds enlisted at Notingham on 12th August 1914, he served with the Deal Battalion (listed as Portsmouth Bn. in the 1914 Star Roll) landing at Dunkirk 19th September 1914 . MEF 28th February 1915 and was killed in action on 20th May 1915
Buried in Rest Camp, Gallipoli, by Rev. B.J. Failes; 1914 Star issued to father 31st December 1919.
