Frank Parker was born in 1889 at Nottingham, he was the son of John a lace twist hand and Mary Parker.
His father John was born in 1865 at Nottingham, his mother Mary was born in 1864 at Nottingham, they had 3 children, Robert, Frank and John
In the 1911 census the famly lived at 32 Cross Street Carlton Road Nottingha. Mary 47 years is head of the family married and 47 yrs old, she is a lace mender, she is living with her sons Frank 21 yrs a lace maker and John 18 yrs a labourer.
Frank was the husband of Ethel Hook born 1888 they were married in 1914 at Nottingham and they lived at 3 Beauchamp Street Carlton Road.
Commencing 26th March 1917 his widow was awarded a pention of 10 shillings and 6 pence aweek.
Ethel married Arthur Hill at Nottingham in 1921.
Rifleman Frank Parker enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 11th battalion King's Royal Rifle Corps, Landing in France on22nd September 1915 he died of wounds on 3rd September 1916. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
Nottingham Evening Post obituary (abridged), 23 October 1916: ‘Rifleman F Parker (King’s Royal Rifles), 3 Beauchamp Street, Carlton Road, died of wounds September 18th (sic), age 27.’
