George Baxter (junior) was born in 1875 at Nottingham, he was the son of George Baxter (senior) and Isabella Baxter.

He was the husband of Florrie Louisa Stokes (born 12th December 1877 ) they were married in 1897 at Nottingham they had a daughter Mary Baxter born 1899 at Leicester

In 1911 they lived at 1 Mozart Yard Lower Eldon Street Nottingham.

Commencing 7th January 1918 he widow was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week at this time she is living at 12 Lord Street, Windmill Lane, Sneinton, Nottingham

Military history

Private George Baxter enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 10th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he was killed in action, 23rd April 1917, age 42, in the attack on the German lines at Bayonet Trench, near Arras, France.
