Wounded again on War Office Daily Casualty List number : 5367 dated 18th September 1917 whilst serving with the 6th Battalion, York & Lancaster Regiment.
He was entitled to wear 4 wound stripes.
Died : 28th November 1917, aged 30 years (CWGC), aged 31 years (Family Memorial)..

Commemorated on the Sutton In Ashfield War Memorial, at the junction of Mansfield Road and Downing Street, Sutton In Ashfield, Nottinghamshire as : W. Lowbridge.
Buried : St. Patrick's Cemetery, Loos.

The Personal Inscription on the Family Memorial reads : "In loving Memory of John Lowbridge, died Nov. 15th 1918, aged 29 years, also his Brothers George, died Feb. 21st 1915,aged31 years, William, Killed In Action in France, Nov. 28th 1917, aged 31 years".
