George was the son of John and Frances Whyman who lived at Railway House, Radford in 1891. John, from Borrowash, was a signalman. George was the husband of Ellen (née Lynch) Whyman and the father of Bernrad, Alice, George, Elizabeth and Mary E Whyman. In 1911 they lived on High Pavement Sutton in ashfield.
