Harry was born in 1885 in Calverton , he was the son of Francis and Elizabeth Hind née Flower of Main Street, Calverton.
His father Francis Hind is born in 1856 at Calverton, his mother ElizabethFlower was born in
1857 at Calverton, they were married in 1879 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they went on to have 6 children.
Harry married Alice Maud Wiggins (born 11th April 1887 ) in 1908 their marriage was recorded in the Basford Registration district, they had two children, Francis Wilfred born 29th July 1909 and Harry born 6th January 1916.
In the 1911 census his parents are living at Calverton, Francis Hind 55 yrs is a frame work knitter he is living with his wife Elizabeth Hind 54 yrs and their daughter Elsie Hind 23 yrs a hosiery mender.
in the same 1911 census Harry is shown as head of the family living in Calverton and is hosiery factory worker he is 26 yrs of age, .He is living with his wife Alice Maud 23 yrs a seamer and his son Francis Wilfred 1 year of age.
Commencing 23rd December 1918 his widow was awarded apension of 25 shillings and 5 pence a week.
After his death Alice Maud remarries and her surname becomes Pinchbeck and she lives at the Pottery,Calverton.
Private Harry Hind enlisted in Calverton into the Sherwood Foresters Regiment, He was killed in action France & Flanders while serving with B Company 15th battalion on 22nd March 1918 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Poziers memorial, France
