Charles Albert Wright was born in 1896 at Keyworh he was the son of Samuel Richard a general dealer and Maria Wright née Clark and the brother of George William, Lenora, Samuel Richard, Mary Elizabeth, Joseph, Daniel, Fanny, Walter, Maria and Matthew Henry Wright.
His father Samuel Wright 47 yrs is a general dealer, he is living with his wife Maria 43 yrs and their children, George William 20 yrs an assistant dealer, Leonora 17 yrs assistant in the home, Charles Albert 15 yrs a draper, Samuel Richard 14 yrs assistant in his father’s business, Mary Elizabeth 12 yrs a scholar, Joseph 10 yrs, Daniel 7 yrs and Fanny 9 yrs of age.
In the 1911 census the family lived on Blind Lane Keyworth Nottinghamshire. Samuel Richard Wright 47 yrs is a general dealer, he is living with his wife Maria 43 yrs and their children,
Private Charles Albert Wright enlisted at Nottingham whilst residing at Keyworth, he served with the 8th battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 14th November 1916, having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
He was born O/N/D/1895 so may have been 21 when killed.
