George Talbot 9junior) was born in 1888 at Nottingham, he was the son of George Talbot (senior) a stock manager warehouseman, and Sarah Jane Talbot née Guyler and the brother of John Thomas, Frederick William, Leonard, Florence Mary, Grace and Doris Talbot.

His father George Talbot (senior) was born in 1864 at Nottingham, his mother Sarah Jane Guyler was born in 1861 at Nottingham, they were married on 2nd April 1882 at Holy Trinity church, Nottingham, they went on to have 10 children,

In the 1911 census the family lived at 1 Berlin Terrace Bunbury Street Meadows Nottingham, George (senior) 47 yrs is a stock manager warehouseman he is living with hs wife Sarah Janer 48 yrs and their 8 children including George 23 yrs a green grocers assistant.

Military history

Private George Talbot enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 2nd battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he was killed in action on 1st July 1917 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
