John Arthur married Amy Clarke in 1911 (JAS). The CWGC record gave her address as 16 Church Terrace, St. Saviour's Street, Nottingham.

Gunner John Arthur Blundy, 23rd Heavy Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery, died of wounds on 5th August 1917.

He is buried in Wimmereux Communal Cemetery (grave ref II.P.7).
