John Forward was born in 1891, he was the son of Walter Edgar and Henrietta of London.
John married Florence May Oldacre (born 20th April 1895) on 23rd April 1916 at St Barnabus Church, Bethnall Green, London. they lived at 114 Grove Road,Bow, London.
Commencing 26th May 1919 his widow was awarded a pension of 13 shillings and 9 pence a week.
Military history
Private John Forward enlisted and served with the 683rd Mechanicla Transport Coy, Army service corps. He died of pnuemonia on 15th November 1918 and is buried at Mikra British Cemetery, Kalamaria, Greece.
