Military history
Private Albert Gatenby enlisted at Doncaster, he served with the 10th battalion West Yorkshire Regiment. He landed in France on 11th August 1915, he was killed in action on 30th December 1915 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Ypres Menin Gate Memorial, Belgium.
