Frank was born in 1892 in Calverton he was baptised on 10th July 1892 at St Wilfrids Church, Calverton the son of Arthur a farm labourer and Jane Richardson (nee Kirkham) , of Terry Nook, Calverton .
His fatherArthur Richardson was born in 1866 at Calverton, his mother Jane Kirkham was born in 1872 at Calverton, they were married on 25th December 1888 at St Wilfrids Church Calverton, they went on to have 7 children.
In the 1911 census his family including his parents and four siblings are living at Crookdole Lane, Calverton ,
however Frank is living with a family called Armstrong (the head of which is a farm foreman) living at Portland Road, Hucknall Torkard, he is 18 yrs of age single and a horseman
Sergeant Frank Cyril Richardson enlisted on 12th August 1914 at Nottingham, giving his age as 22 yrs and 113 days, he was a labourer, he served with King's Royal Rifle Corps landing in France on 18th May 1915. He was killed in action France & Flanders on 2nd July 1917, he is buried in Faubourg D'Amiens Cemetery ,Arras
