Frank was born in 1892 in Calverton the son of Arthur and Jane Richardson (nee Kirkham) , of Terry Nook, Calverton . In the 1911 census his family including his parents and four siblings are living at Crookdole Lane, Calverton , however he is living with a family called Armstrong (the head of which is a farm foreman) living at Portland Road, Hucknall Torkard, he is 18 yrs of age single and a horseman

Military history

Sergeant Frank Cyril Richardsone nlisted on 12th August 1914 at Nottingham, giving his age as 22 yrs and 113 days, he was a labourer, he served with King's Royal Rifle Corps landing in France on 18th May 1915. He was killed in action France & Flanders on 2nd July 1917, he is buried in Faubourg D'Amiens Cemetery ,Arras
