St Nicholas, High Street, Austerfield, Doncaster DN10 6QU. Three light stained glass window in memory of Major Cecil Talbot Baines, south aisle, Lady Chapel. Left light depicts St Edmund with below a seated angel playing a lute, above the angel a banner with the words: ‘Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil’. Centre light depicts St George with below a seated angel playing a harp in front of a lectern bearing a bible (inscription not legible). Right light depicts St Martin with below a seated angel playing a stringed instrument, above the angel a banner with the words: ‘Unto thee O Lord do/ I lift up my soul’. The dedication is in the bottom right corner of the third light: 'To the dear memory of Major Cecil Talbot Baines, who gave his life in the service of his King and Country on April 26th 1917, this window is dedicated Anno Domini 1919.'
