Tuxford - St Nicholas Church (Reredos)
Alabaster reredos in the Lady White Chapel. The reredos was designed and made by Messrs H Hems and Sons of Exeter and installed by Sharpe and Hoggard, monumental masons of Retford. The carving in the centre panel is of 'The Last Supper' and the side panels represent 'the Adoration of the Infant Jesus' and His 'being laid in the tomb.' Dedication. Left panel: 'To the glory of the Trinity and in grateful memory of those from Tuxford who gave their lives for their country in the Great War this reredos was erected by Bryan Clark AD 1921.' Right panel: '(names) Through the grave and gate of death we pass to our joyful resurrection for his merits who died and rose again for us.’
