The memorial was originally in the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Front Street, Arnold, but was transferred to Arnold Methodist Church when the Ebenezer church was demolished in 1968. Marble tablet bearing the inscription: 'In loving and grateful memory of (eight names) who went from this church during the Great War 1914-1919. For freedom’s sake they died'
