West Bridgford - Friary Congregational Church

The Friary Church is on Musters Road/Millicent Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham. The Friar Lane Chapel was founded in Nottingham in 1827 but in 1897 it left Friar Lane for West Bridgford, but retained the name as 'Friary Congregational Church'. The congregation met initially in the Nottinghamshire Cricket Pavilion until a new church was built and completed in 1901. The congregation of the Queen's Walk Congregational Church, Meadows, amalgamated with the Friary in 1970. In 1972 the church joined the United Reformed Church.
