Caunton - St Andrew
St Andrew, Main Street, Caunton, Newark, Nottinghamshire NG23 6AB. Bronze tablet mounted on a wall to the right of the main gate to the churchyard. It was constructed from stones re-used after the 1869 Restoration. Inscription: 'These stones were cut in the XIIIth century by the builders of this church+ ‘1914-1918 These men of Caunton sought the glory of England. They found the glory of God’ (name, rank, unit).' There are also two framed illuminated scrolls in the church listing the men and women of Caunton who served in the two World Wars.
