Averham - St Michael and All Angels Church

St Michael & All Angels, Averham, Newark, Nottinghamshire, NG23 5RB. A subscription was opened in 1921 for the parish war memorial and £50 had been donated within a year. The tablet with the names of seven men was installed at the rear of the nave on the west wall, north side. Dedication: ‘To the Glory of God and in honoured memory of the men of these Parishes who fell in the Great War 1914-1918. R.I.P.’ Another parishioner, Corporal Frederick Charles Ingamells, KOYLI, died of influenza in February 1919 and was buried in the churchyard (Virtual Memorial).
