Thrumpton - All Saints Church
'The memorial is on the outside of the church, on the north wall of the nave, close to the north door. It depicts a recumbent soldier lying in a sepulchre. In the upper left corner is St George slaying a dragon which is in the upper right corner. The memorial also displays the regimental badges of the three villagers who died and bears the inscription in the two centre panels: ‘If ye suffer for righteousness sake happy are ye.’ The memorial was installed in 1924.'
