The memorial was originally on an external wall of the Hucknall Co-operative store, Market Place, Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, but was removed to St Mary Magdalene churchyard, Market Place, Hucknall, NG15 7FQ. Dedication: 'In grateful memory of employees of the Society who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1918 (8 names). They died that we might live.' There is a plaque below the original memorial which reads, 'Restored by the Co-operative Funeral Service, Hucknall, July 2001.' A memorial with the same inscription is on the site of the Hucknall Co-operative Society's branch in Kimberley, Nottinghamshire.
