The memorial was removed for safekeeping from Upton Methodist Church to the parish church of St. Peter & St Paul on 30 April 1988 on the closure of the Methodist's church (see plaque below memorial). Dedication: 'To the glory of God and honour to the men of this parish who fell in the Great War 1914-1918 (names). RIP.' The details on the tablet include rank, first names, age and unit.
