Newark - Christ Church
The dedication reads, '1914 Our Glorious Dead 1919. To commemorate the self-sacrifice of those whose names are inscribed hereon who gave their lives for their country in the Great War (names)'. The memorial was erected in Christ Church, Lombard Street, Newark, which was consecrated in 1837. The church was closed in the 1950s and later used as a warehouse. The memorial was transferred to the present church of the same name on Boundary Road, Newark, which was dedicated in March 1958.
