Nottingham - Trent Bridge Boys' Elementary School, Green Street
Trent Bridge Elementary School for boys, along with another for girls and an infant department built on the same site, opened in 1909 with boys aged predominantly 7 or 8 (too young for Great War military service).
Partly educated elsewhere, Alleyne Bosworth, Herbert Lake and Ralph Pearson joined a top class of 25 older pupils. Bernard Laws taught at the boys' school between March and July 1914.
This honours board hung in the school hall between c. 1920 and the early 1970s when the school, by then merged with Roland Green Comprehensive, closed. It has been in David Nunn's keeping since 1972.

This photo was taken in 2007 when the Trent Bridge building still functioned as a school. Shortly afterwards it was demolished to make way for housing.
