Newstead Abbey - Major Roderick Beuclerk Webb A close up of the memorial with inscription which reads :- In loving memory of Major Roderick Beauclerk Webb 3rd and only surviving son of W F Webb born at Newstead on March 3rd 1867 and died on active service at Korogwe,East Africa July 25th 1916, until the day break and the shadows flee away.
