Mr Hawksley-Blackburn's grandfather Charles Frederick was killed 24/2/1918. Two brothers served and returned and are named on this plaque. Frank (1895-1975 regiment unknown) was shell-shocked and spent time in Saxondale Psychiatric Hospital. Dick served with the Northumberland Fusiliers (96476, TR/5/159094) and the RASC (M1411174). Younger brothers, Harry and John, were ineligible for Great War military service.
