Langar with Barnstone - St Andrew's Church (Langar) - World War Two
St Andrew's church, Church Lane, Langar memorial (WMA 27255) is a freestanding monument in the churchyard which commemorates men from the parish and congregation who died in the First and Second World Wars. Originally a Great War memorial designed by Geo. M Silley of London and dedicated on May 15th 1920, the names of three men who died in the Second World War Have been added subsequently. The framed Roll of Honour inside the church commemorates 39 men from Langar with Barnstone who served in World War Two, 3 of whom died. The Roll of Honour is written in manuscript and the names of those who died are in red.
